About The Position

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and scale the go-to-market motion for a high-impact, mission-driven product at the intersection of education, technology, and equity. The Founding Account Executive will own both strategy and execution for business development efforts, leading high-value partnerships that expand reach and impact. You will build repeatable systems for segmentation, pricing, and playbooks while driving anchor deals that scale the product to new learners. Collaborating closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, you will refine GTM strategies, optimize pipelines, and create data-informed processes for growth. This role requires an entrepreneurial, analytical, and hands-on operator who can navigate ambiguity and translate insights into actionable outcomes. Remote-first flexibility is offered, with occasional travel to support strategic partnerships and key initiatives.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of hands-on experience in business development, partnerships, or sales, ideally in tech or workforce innovation sectors.
  • Experience as a zero-to-one or founding account executive, skilled in experimenting across markets to find traction.
  • Proven ability to drive high-value deals and meet concrete performance targets (e.g., deals closed, accounts launched, or users activated).
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience discussing pipeline math, pricing, payback periods, and win rates.
  • Technical fluency to demo products, discuss integrations or APIs, and translate features into business value.
  • Data-informed storytelling and ability to build referenceable pilots that scale.
  • Mission-driven with alignment to equity, career mobility, and social impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery, demos, negotiation, and contracting for high-value partnerships that anchor GTM strategy.
  • Build, manage, and optimize the sales pipeline, including outreach, qualification, forecasting, and performance tracking through CRM systems.
  • Define and implement GTM processes, playbooks, and performance metrics to improve conversion rates and shorten cycle times.
  • Integrate AI and automation tools to enhance prospecting, research, and engagement efficiency.
  • Run market experiments to test segments, messaging, and partnership models, codifying learnings into scalable strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Partner Success teams to align commercial execution with product roadmap and customer needs.
  • Track and optimize performance metrics such as deal volume, partner launches, CAC, ROI, and active users or learners impacted.
