Devereux Florida provides programs and services for children and adolescents in the child welfare and foster care system. Based out of Pembroke Pines (FL), this position is responsible for recruitment and initial licensure and re-licensure of foster homes, visiting foster homes, and providing training and support to foster parents.
Position Details:
Salary: Starts at $24.04 - 28.23 / hr (rate is based on education and relevant experience)
Schedule: works around families schedules; community based position.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field required
• Certification as a Child Welfare Licensing Counselor by the Florida Certification Board OR must be provisionally certified with completion of PRIDE training required
• Valid FL driver's license required
• Must be able to attend a 3-day, new hire orientation class from 9:00am - 5:00pm ET
• Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida. To learn more visit: https://info.flclearinghouse.com
• Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen and TB Test.
• Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision.

Nice To Haves

• Two years experience working with foster families preferred.
• Prior foster home licensing experience a plus
