Our Foster Care program provides treatment, training, and homes for children in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Many of our families live in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Newport News, and Hampton. We are proud to place children into stable and loving foster parents' homes and we work to ensure that a good fit between the foster family and the child. The Foster Care Driver would provide transportation to assist case workers in delivering quality services to children and families. This role is responsible for transporting clients to and from scheduled appointments (such as school, doctor visits, and visitations). Pay Range: $15.00-$18.00/hour Schedule: This part-time position will typically work between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility required as hours will vary week to week based on client needs (i.e.- as early as 6:00 am or as late as 8:00 pm) The Barry Robinson Center offers a stable and supportive work environment rooted in more than 90 years of service to youth and families. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and client needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Approachable, flexible, and reliable team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with children or families preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, reliable, and punctual transportation for clients to and from schools, appointments, and family visitations.
  • Maintain accurate transportation and service logs.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and client-focused service.
  • Support case workers with additional duties as assigned.
