About The Position

BMA is seeking a Forward Planner to join our team in Ford Hood, TX. Job Summary Perform independent, in-depth research and analysis of current and emerging policy, regulations, directives, and industrial issues. Assist with managing day-to-day operations, synchronization, and coordination for the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) and provide recommendations and information on operational issues. Develop and maintain accurate and thorough LOGCAP contract requirements packages—including technical data packages, exhibits, and diagrams—and screen requirements for completeness, accuracy, and suitability. Review, analyze, coordinate, and develop draft staff actions and requests for information, and prepare or review briefings and memos in accordance with Army regulations (e.g., AR 25-50), while collaborating with the local LOGCAP Planner. Perform research and draft responses to inquiries and assist with monitoring events involving new and ongoing operations and exercise requirements. Monitor events involving new and ongoing operations and exercise requirements. Perform professional, in-depth research and analysis of emerging policy, regulations, directives, and industrial issues, prepare briefings and information papers, and update and maintain training and exercise files in SharePoint. Perform research and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Prepare briefings and special studies. Monitor and track changing LOGCAP requirements. Participate in various training and exercise events, including LOGCAP and other supported activities. Research and develop course curriculum. Attend meetings and teleconferences, prepare reports, and develop and manage Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects. Develop and update exercise event scheduling requirements.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience working in support of a Joint, U.S. Army, or component level headquarters.
  • Military Intermediate Level Education (MEL4) graduate and Support Operations Course (Phase 2)
  • Logistics experience in deployment/combat in a support operations position.
  • Possess a functional understanding of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP).
  • Have broad knowledge of the Army sustainment enterprise at the Department of the Army and how it relates to other procuring headquarters, USTRANSCOM, and other ASCC headquarters,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • There is an active Secret security clearance required for this position upon hire.
