About The Position

Litehouse Foods is seeking a Formulation I team member to join their team in Sandpoint, Idaho. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of products by precisely measuring and mixing ingredients for production. The company, Litehouse, started 60 years ago in Hope, Idaho, and has grown to be a leader in refrigerated salad dressings, dips, sauces, herbs, and cheese, with manufacturing facilities across the U.S. They emphasize a strong commitment to employees and communities. The Formulation I position involves detailed work that directly impacts the products consumers use daily, focusing on accuracy, quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Less than 1 year of experience
  • Basic understanding of food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Knowledge of FEFO inventory practices, ingredient handling, and batch preparation
  • Physical stamina to lift and transport materials and the visual/mathematical literacy to do it right
  • Awareness of safety standards, including hazardous material handling and use of PPE

Nice To Haves

  • Certified in forklifts, pallet jacks, or drum haulers

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve and prepare dry/wet ingredients for production following precise instructions.
  • Log every step according to GMP-because quality starts with great records.
  • Keep equipment, tanks, filters, and workspaces spotless and safe.
  • Perform in-process checks to ensure every product meets our gold standard.
  • Communicate issues, equipment concerns, and improvements with your team and supervisors.
