About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Chemist to support industrial formulation development and analytical method development in an industrial R&D environment. This role requires hands-on expertise with advanced analytical instrumentation, strong method development skills, and experience supporting drug delivery and product development programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least five (5) years of experience, Master’s degree with at least three (3) years of relevant experience or a PhD with at least one (1) year of research experience in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
  • Strong expertise in analytical chemistry and formulation development
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC and GC method development and validation
  • Working knowledge of affinity chromatography, ICP-MS, and mass spectrometry
  • Experience with vesicle-based systems for drug delivery (e.g., liposomes, nanoparticles)
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and interpret 3D imaging data
  • Experience working under GLP/GMP or similar quality systems
  • Capable of communicating, receiving, and comprehending information and ideas from diverse groups of people clearly and logically.
  • Work while standing upright or stationary for the duration of typical working hours, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of working in non-traditional work environments, possess proficiency in using and learning standard office equipment and technology.
  • You may be exposed to potentially hazardous elements, such as infectious agents often found in Biotech or laboratory environments, and perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize chemical and pharmaceutical formulations for R&D and product development
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, validate, and document analytical methods for identification and quantification of chemicals and metabolites
  • Independently operate and troubleshoot analytical instruments including HPLC, GC, ICP-MS, and mass spectrometry systems
  • Perform affinity chromatography for compound purification and characterization
  • Plan, design & conduct vesicle-based experiments for drug delivery applications (e.g., liposomes, nanoparticles, extracellular vesicles)
  • Analyze, interpret, and report analytical and imaging data, including 3D imaging results
  • Support scale-up, technology transfer, and process development activities
  • Generate technical reports, SOPs, and method validation documentation in accordance with GLP/GMP requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with formulation, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams
