POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the preparation, distribution, inventory, record keeping and ordering of all patient enteral formula. Follows the standards of formula preparation as described in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics “Guidelines for Preparation of Human Milk and Formula in Healthcare Facilitiesâ€. Recognizes weights and measures to correctly read, write, and calculate formula recipes, maintains aseptic technique during formula preparation, and maintains sanitation guidelines in formula room. Regularly interacts with dietitians, pharmacist, nurses, unit secretaries, and foodservice personnel. Able to complete formula preparation competencies in the first 90 days.
