We are looking for a detail oriented leader with strong communication and presentation skills, with equipment operating experience to plan and safely deliver Power Industrial Vehicle training for our Train the Trainer program, oversee the logistical execution for training new associates as well as ongoing training for current associates, while championing the Wayfair culture. This role will be responsible for coordinating the Wayfair standard PIV training program, which meets all vehicle manufacturer and OSHA standards and requirements. Support includes the coordination of facilitators of both classroom and 1-on-1 practical training experiences, as well as timely and thorough record-keeping for all training events and assessments.This candidate must be a collaborative problem solver, safety focused, provide program oversight in a fast-paced, rapidly challenging, and fluid environment. This role will support equipment training across the Aberdeen site and be the liaison between Training and Operations. You will play an integral role in coordinating our PIV Training Program in partnership with the Field Training Supervisor, Senior Operations and Site Director. You will support the execution of the training process for new and existing FC associates while maintaining the integrity of the program while being in compliance with Wayfair, manufacturer and OSHA policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of equipment experience preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Training experience preferred
  • Be a self-starter and be adaptable to change management
  • Leadership and motivational skills, and the ability to make decisions with little to no guidance based on policies or best practices
  • Basic computer skills, including Google Sheets and Google Slides preferred
  • This position will require a schedule that aligns with our New Hire Orientation Program and being flexible/adaptable is a must.
  • Some weekend work may be required on a needs basis

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a PIV training expert for all machines within your site/campus, acting as a resource for partner teams
  • Uphold Wayfair's high standard for safe and effective PIV operation at all times
  • Support the training and certification of PIV equipment operators of all knowledge and skill levels, including first-time and tenured vehicle operators
  • Support training and certification for several vehicle manufacturers and vehicle types
  • Adhere to Wayfair's standard PIV training program and all of its processes and guidelines
  • Own coordination and facilitation of the Train the Trainer program
  • Facilitate engaging and informative general and vehicle-specific classroom and hands-on practical training experiences using provided training materials
  • Conduct audits and provide retraining for operators as needed to support bi-annual recertification, post-incident training requirements and any additional vehicle equipment training requirements.
  • Give and receive feedback to trainers based on observations and NPS scores.
  • Maintain detailed and thorough documentation and record-keeping for all training events
  • Provide timely communication between Operations and other members of the training team on progress, barriers, and feedback
  • Partner with Safety to conduct yearly training & recertifications for harness safety and monthly inspections
  • Partner with Operations to identify and schedule additional equipment training
  • Provide backup facilitation for bulk department training or other various training sessions
  • Flex to provide operational support during peak volume periods (up to 10%) and other duties as assigned
