About The Position

SUMMARY Distribution Center Facilities Advance Technician represents the Distribution Center. Assist the Facilities Manager in mentoring the Facilities Team Members in all aspects of maintenance and for the next level in their career. Perform inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES focused on the Core 4 (Racking, Conveyance, Facilities, PIT) Other duties may be assigned. Perform all levels of technical repairs on equipment and machinery. Install and repair of electrical equipment, such as lights, outlets, wiring, and electrical and electronic components on equipment. Coordinate with the Facilities Manager or Facilities Supervisor on daily workload. Inspect, test and perform audits of machinery and equipment. Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance of equipment, machinery, MHE control components, and structures using blueprints, diagrams, manuals and written instructions while adhering to all safety guidelines to ensure efficient operations. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctions of equipment and machinery promptly. Construct and install or repair equipment in accordance with manufactures guidelines and repair manual Repair, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on the facility. Ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers at I/O level. Discuss machine operation variations with Managers, Team Managers, and other Team Members to diagnose problems and machine repairs. Ensures all hazardous material in the Facilities Department is stored in a flammable storage cabinet at the end of each shift or when not in use Organize, assign and follow-up on maintenance repairs, work orders, projects and other maintenance task as directed by the Facilities Manager or Facilities Supervisor. General administrative, organizational, managerial and communication skills. Ability to use hand, power tools and shop equipment Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Ability to follow all Company, State and Federal safety rules and regulations and wear safety personal protective equipment when required Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word documents Ability use computer maintenance managing software (CMMS) track parts usage, generate and update work orders. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and procedures including best safety practices. Strong administrative, organizational, managerial and communication skills. Good analytical ability to gather and interpret information and develop, recommend, and implement solutions. Knowledge of and skilled in blue print and schematic reading. Work various shifts and locations, as required. Overtime, weekends and holidays are required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent required Two to four years related experience and/or training. Minimum two years maintenance experience in a distribution center or industrial environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Post hire certifications may be required to comply with safety standards as mandated by law to operate machinery or equipment.
