Field Service Technician, Full Time Salary Range: $28.00/HR to $37/HR DOE - $2,000 Sign On Bonus Branch Location: Salt Lake City, UT, 80216 Technician Assigned Service Area: Focus in the Salt Lake City area Why Towlift? The Field Service Technician is responsible for the diagnosis and repair of forklifts at our customer locations. The Field Service Technician will be provided a company service van with parts inventory to provide repairs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred.
  • 2 - 4 or more years of forklift maintenance experience in a service technician role in the material handling industry preferred.
  • Other maintenance experience will be considered (military, automotive/diesel, building maintenance, etc.)
  • Must have own hand tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical operations.
  • Have a valid NV Driver’s license and a safe driving record.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience a plus.
  • Dock leveler and roll-up door experience, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phone calls from technicians and customers, providing technical support to fix issues.
  • Assists technicians to diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and repair issues properly.
  • Perform forklift planned maintenance services and breakdown repairs.
  • Maintain a company service vehicle and parts inventory.
  • Perform in a team environment.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a good attendance record.
  • Maintain positive customer relations and approach all situations in a tactful and professional manner.
  • Lift 50 lbs or more.
