About The Position

The forklift operator moves products or materials in a production or warehouse environment using powered industrial equipment and/or vehicles with an extremely high focus on safety and the safety of others. Work is conducted in a very fast-paced environment where productivity expectations are high.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Forklift certified or a willingness to be trained and become certified within 1 month
• Driving record must meet Swire’s vehicle policy
• Work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
• Lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial vehicles and equipment to relocate products or materials within a warehouse facility.
• Transport raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to designated area to meet requirements.
• Efficiently load and unload palletized and/or non-palletized products / materials in or out of designated trailers and/or route trucks to meet scheduled delivery time.
• Ensure that products / materials are stacked, stored, and secured in compliance with regulatory/company policies and procedures
• Ensure proper dunnage is loaded on transport trailers to secure the load to prevent materials from tipping, falling, etc
• Perform daily inspection and minor maintenance (as needed) on equipment to ensure safe operation of equipment
• Ensure proper rotation of product
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
