Scope: The Forklift Operator will be responsible for receiving, storing and distributing material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Forklift Operator role
  • Must have ability to understand oral and written instructions in English
  • Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills
  • Forklift certification required
  • Must have successfully completed the Forklift I Matrices Sign-Off Sheets and approved by an Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Must be proficient in all Forklift Operating SOP's for assigned Warehouse area
  • Utilize industrial power equipment to raise and lower materials to storage locations
  • Deliver materials from storage/staging locations to the specified department or shipping dock
  • Able to take on multiple tasks while executing daily operations safely and professionally
  • Demonstrates safety and conducts him/herself in accordance with all safety guidelines at all times; including accurate completion of all pre-shift equipment checks
  • Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
  • Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank
  • Wrap and placard materials accurately and appropriately prior to moving them to a storage area
  • Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels
  • Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines
  • All other duties as assigned
