About The Position

Kraft Heinz Foods Company, located in Kendallville, IN, is seeking a highly motivated Forklift Operator to join our manufacturing plant. As the sole producer of all our product lines, Kraft Heinz Kendallville offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our ambitious goals. Plant Overview: Non-union plant employing 280 employees across 3 shifts. Purchased in 1934 from Breyer’s Ice Cream and began producing caramel in 1935. Began producing Marshmallows and Marshmallow Crème in 1961 and Marbits (think dehydrated marshmallows found in cereal) in 1979. Kendallville is the sole producer of all our products. Community Overview: Kendallville is located about 30 minutes north of Fort Wayne and offers a small-town community.
Requirements
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve excellent results.
- Proficient in simple mathematics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in areas with dust and starch particles.
- Willingness to work in hot and humid conditions.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Scan finished products from production lines and load them onto trailers.
- Troubleshoot equipment operation issues related to line performance.
- Scan labels, verify correctness of PRN and enter pallet count accurately.
- Set up and operate palletizers.
- Provide cross functional training of raw and pack supply and receiving duties.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Monitor and communicate any process or product abnormalities to supervisors or team leaders.
- Collaborate with previous and next shift regarding any concerns or watch outs.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
