About The Position

The operator is responsible for operating a large forklift to move and mount large truck bodies in a safe manner and free of damage. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. This position will require extensive training. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. An employee in this position works in an environment in which safety, environmental, and health concerns may demand constant attention. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, as well as moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites where the noise level can be very loud with high temperatures at times.
