Forklift Operator - Port Operations

About The Position

The Port of Beemac in Leetsdale Industrial Park operates 24/7. In this role, you will safely load and unload material from barges, trucks, and railcars in a heavy-industrial, outdoor environment. Large model forklift or overhead cabin crane experience is a plus — but not required — we will train the right people.

Shifts Available: 7AM or 7PM (10–12 hr. shifts)

Requirements

• Ability to pass training and required testing.
• Ability to pass a drug test, including medical marijuana
• Previous applicable forklift experience preferred
• Must have a flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends.
• Must be willing to work shifts and/or overtime hours during the week/weekends as dictated by operations.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. frequently.
• Willing to work in areas with full exposure to the elements year-round.
• Must have recent work history and a proven track record working cross-functionally.
• Ability to work well with all levels of team members with different backgrounds and needs.
• Must be able to work independently based on periodic guidance and direction.
• Must be able to perform tasks in a timely and safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Safely load/offload barges, railcars, and trucks
• Follow safety rules, PPE standards, and work orders
• Operate industrial equipment (training provided)
• Keep work areas clean and hazard-free
• Follow written/verbal directions and work with a team

Benefits

• $500 bonus after 90 days and $1,000 after 180 days, for qualifying employees
• $100 monthly bonus after 180 days, for qualifying employees
