About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all products and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift. Team members will be fully re-trained and certified on forklift during orientation. Safety is always FIRST with Tyson Foods, and all Team Members are expected to practice safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role involves working in a damp and cold environment with temperatures ranging from -5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit for shifts up to 12 hours, driving various types of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks. The job includes tasks such as receiving, putting away, replenishing, picking, and loading products, often utilizing a handheld scanner to track movement.

Requirements

  • 3 Months operator experience (Can be a combination of employer as long as it is at least 3 months).
  • 3 Months forklift experience (Can be a combination of employer as long as it is at least 3 months).
  • Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
  • May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.
  • Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.
  • Willing to move around the work area at a fast pace.
  • Willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (40) pounds.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing.
  • Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
  • Must wear either steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole that covers the ankles.

  • Cold Storage Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all products and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift.
  • Practice safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Move around the work area at a fast pace.
  • Bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (40) pounds.
  • Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.
  • Use a handheld scanner to track products as it is moved around the facility.
  • Perform other job duties as part of the routine.
  • Receive product accurately into the building using PIT (Receiver).
  • Pull product that has been received and puts it into the racking (Put Away).
  • Palletize or split pallets (May be required for Put Away).
  • Pull pallets from racking to replenish pick faces (Replenisher).
  • Pull product either in single or full palletized form to fill and build customer orders (Picker - Case picker/Order Selector and full pallet picker).
  • Load trucks with product in an efficient manner that will avoid product damage or loss (Loader).
  • Complete on-the-job paperwork.
  • Effectively communicate across all management levels.
