About The Position
Nitterhouse Masonry Products is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team at our Guilford Springs block plant. This full-time position offers a consistent schedule with opportunities for overtime and the chance to be part of a respected local manufacturer. As a Forklift Operator, your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient movement of products and materials throughout the plant. You will play a key role in maintaining operational flow while upholding our high standards for safety and quality.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to receive and follow instructions
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- Ability to lift/carry up to and exceeding 50 pounds
- Forklift operator experience
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move products and materials throughout the plant and yard
- Pick up products directly from the production line and palletize them efficiently
- Stage and organize pallets for storage, shipping, or further processing
- Transport and store finished products in designated yard locations
- Identify and report damaged products, shortages, or quality issues
- Perform routine equipment checks and notify supervision of any maintenance needs
- Follow all company safety rules and maintain a safe working environment
- Keep work areas, forklifts, and yard spaces clean and organized
