About The Position

Interfor is seeking a safety-minded, skilled, and motivated Forklift Operator to join our team in Monticello, Arkansas in our Shipping Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, load, and organize products throughout the mill, supporting efficient and smooth production operations. The pay rate for this position is $22.74 per hour.

Requirements

High School Diploma/Equivalent preferred.
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification through a standard training course.
Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
Ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations, following established procedures.
Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts safely in compliance with all Interfor, OSHA, and MOPED safety standards and guidelines.
Move inventory and materials across company facilities, stacking and organizing large bulk items efficiently.
Work collaboratively with team members to load and unload materials safely.
Update inventory activity, logs, lists, and records accurately.
Identify damaged materials or replacements needed and report appropriately.
Address and clean up any spills or safety hazards before leaving the shift.
Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
Clean forklifts regularly using a pressure washer and assist with preventive maintenance tasks, including tire changes.
Follow all safety policies, job safety analyses, and standard operating procedures to prevent injuries and avoid damage to mill property.
Must be able to safely climb on top of railcars and be comfortable working in elevated areas.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or mill management.
Be available for occasional weekend work as required.
