The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in warehouse and production operations by safely and efficiently loading/unloading materials, transporting inventory, and supporting overall workflow. This position ensures accurate inventory rotation, proper storage practices, and adherence to safety standards while maintaining smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of stand‑up forklift experience.
  • Forklift certification from Nation Pizza and Foods required within 48 hours of employment.
  • Ability to work overtime, irregular schedules, or rotating shifts.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills, ability to perform simple statistical calculations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior stand‑up forklift experience
  • barcoding knowledge
  • experience with automated data collection systems.
  • bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate FEFO (First Expiration, First Out) staging to ensure proper rotation of all expiration‑dated materials.
  • Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, and work orders to determine material movement needs.
  • Transport and distribute materials from receiving or production to designated storage locations.
  • Sort and organize materials based on size, type, or product code.
  • Support proper inventory management, including perishable goods storage and accurate staging.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or damage immediately.
  • Contribute to quality and efficiency improvements within the warehouse environment.
