About The Position
Under direction of the Frameless Parts Supervisor, the Forklift Operator will assist the department with day to day operations and follow safety procedures and policies. They will be expected to complete any other tasks assigned by supervisor while abiding by all policies described in the company Handbook.
Requirements
- Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Occasional medium lifting up to 50 Lbs.
- Experience working with high performance teams.
- Problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe operation of forklifts.
- Complete housekeeping tasks to ensure a professional and safe work area and manage physical locations for inventory.
- Perform daily inspection of Equipment.
- Manage flow of incoming materials.
- Maintain Required documentation for incoming materials
- Develop and ensure proper receiving practices.
- Maintain a strong work team, and work as a team member to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Coordinate material flow between plants.
- Apply Lean principals to improve inventory control.
- Coordinate and submit accurate inventory control sheets.
- Assist in evaluating inventory stocking levels and adjust as necessary to maximize inventory turns.
- Ensure complete and on time delivery of required material to production departments based on production requirements.
- Maintain waste grinding operations, trailer logs, and delivery schedule of waste export.
- Perform preventative / Routine Maintenance on Grinder as necessary.
