Join us and be a part of a team that puts people first! We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for moving and organizing materials within a metal warehouse, preparing products for shipment, and assisting customers as needed. This position requires strong attention to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of consecutive sit-down forklift experience

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA or safety certification preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload scrap metal materials (bales, bins, boxes, crates, etc.) onto and from trailers, truck beds, and other containers
  • Safely transfer materials throughout the warehouse, including handling and securing unstable or falling materials
  • Manually move materials and fill or empty bins as required
  • Identify, sort, label, and organize various metal materials
  • Pack, wrap, and prepare materials and pallets for shipment
  • Use hand signals to assist equipment operators when moving large materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
  • Complete service logs and follow equipment maintenance requirements
  • Follow production plans and supervisor instructions
  • Adhere to all operational, health, and safety procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
