About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Operator to join our team. This role is hands-on, physical and requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the flow of daily operations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid forklift certification required, or ability to obtain certification upon hire
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Must be a dependable team player with a proactive work ethic
- Must be comfortable working outside in any climate throughout the year
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working a lumber yard or mill is preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift in accordance with company policy and OSHA regulations
- Load, Unload, move and stack materials and products as directed
- Verify load contents against documents such as purchase orders, bills of lading, or pick tickets to ensure accuracy
- Stage materials in designated areas to support efficient workflow and minimize disruption to operations
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories as required
- Identify and report damaged, mislabeled, or incorrectly stored product to a supervisor.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisor
