As a Forklift Operator at our off-site warehouse, you’ll play a vital role in keeping materials and products moving safely and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for loading, unloading, staging, and relocating stock to keep production flowing and inventory organized. Your work helps support a team that transforms recycled paper into high-quality corrugated sheets for our customers. Shift: 3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) — Must be available for overtime and occasional weekend work as needed Starting Pay: $17.50-$18.57/hour (depending on experience) – Eligible for pay increases at 90 days and 6 months based on performance and attendance. What You’ll Do Safely operate a forklift throughout the facility, following all company safety protocols Complete forklift inspection forms before each shift and report any maintenance needs Locate, stage, and load finished goods onto outbound trailers in accordance with First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory procedures. Perform routine cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies Keep stock organized and safely stacked in designated storage areas Track material locations accurately using paperwork and basic computer systems Assist other forklift drivers and support various departments as needed Follow the production schedule and help identify ways to optimize workflow Complete production and safety reports accurately and on time Keep work areas clean and comply with housekeeping standards Follow all company policies and maintain a safe working environment Who You Are You’re dependable and show up ready to work every day You’re an experienced forklift operator who prioritizes safety and accuracy You understand how to navigate a busy manufacturing environment and manage time well You can read and follow written instructions in English, including schedules and labels You’re comfortable using basic computer systems to track inventory You can read a tape measure and perform basic math to track volume and placement You take pride in working independently and as part of a team You’re flexible and willing to assist across departments when needed You’re detail-oriented and care about doing things the right way You’re eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the team’s success Preferred qualifications: Valid forklift certification or prior forklift experience in a manufacturing setting. What to Expect on the Job This is a primarily seated role while operating a forklift You’ll occasionally step off the forklift to assist team members on the floor You must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds Some walking, bending, and reaching will be required during your shift You will work near moving mechanical parts and in an environment where noise, vibration, and airborne particles are common The facility is not climate-controlled, which means it can be very hot in the summer and cold in the winter Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, protective footwear, and safety glasses must be worn at all times What We Offer We are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits program designed to support the personal and professional needs of you and your family.
