As a Forklift Operator, you’ll play a key role in our operations by:

Requirements

  • A commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in varying weather conditions, and perform physical tasks like kneeling, climbing, and standing for long periods.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2+ years of consecutive sit-down forklift experience (OSHA certification preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Safely loading and unloading scrap metal materials onto and from trailers, bins, and crates.
  • Transferring materials to their proper locations and preparing them for shipment.
  • Assisting customers with professionalism and ensuring materials are properly labeled and sorted.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace by removing debris and potential hazards.
  • Following production plans and adhering to safety protocols.
