Job Purpose: Serve in the key role of providing a variety of warehouse skills, including the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, inventory management, order picking, material handling along with shipping and receiving, all aimed at facilitating smooth warehouse operations and ensuring timely loading and unloading of customers’ products.

Requirements

  • 3 + years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience proficiently operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and processes.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret work orders and shipping documents.
  • Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and best practices.
  • Proficient in order picking and inventory management procedures.
  • Ability to load, unload and move materials while ensuring balance and stability.
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes and systems.
  • Strong focus on accuracy when handling products and completing paperwork.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
  • Possess effective communication skills.
  • Friendly, cheerful, “can-do” demeanor.
  • Excellent time and task management skills.
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Flexible Team player.

Responsibilities

  • Operate various types of forklifts, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, and standard forklifts.
  • Safely load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas according to customer’s requirements.
  • Move materials within the warehouse using forklifts and other heavy equipment.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including checking inventory and verifying orders.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisors to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
  • Organize customers’ products by type or lot numbers.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues or malfunctions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Support continuous improvement by contributing to the ongoing efforts to improve all experiences with MainOcean.
  • Flexibility to work weekends on an as needed basis.
