About The Position
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver to join our fabrication shop team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of a metal fabrication environment and can safely move materials while supporting production. Position Overview As a Forklift Driver in our fab shop, you will be responsible for transporting raw materials, finished products, and large steel components throughout the facility. You will play a key role in keeping production running efficiently and safely.
Requirements
- Previous forklift experience required
- Ability to handle heavy, oversized materials (steel plates, beams, etc.)
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing shop strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to move steel, parts, and fabricated materials
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Supply welders and fabricators with materials as needed
- Organize and maintain inventory in the shop and yard
- Assist with staging jobs and preparing materials for production
- Perform daily forklift inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures and shop protocols
