About The Position
We are currently seeking a skilled FCAW Welder to join our fabrication shop team. We are looking for reliable, dedicated team members. Position Overview As an FCAW Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on carbon steel components in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict welding procedures. All applicants will complete one weld test under the following conditions: Time Limit: 4 hours Weld Type: Stringer weld pass only (weave pattern NOT allowed) Welding Process: FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) Filler Metal: 0.045 E71T-12C/M-H8 Material: Carbon Steel Plate Thickness: 1" Backing strip will be used Run-off tabs will be provided Test Position: V-Groove 3G (Uphill) Inspection / Testing: Visual inspection of root and final cap Two (2) side bend tests
Requirements
- Proven experience with FCAW welding
- Ability to pass a 3G uphill weld test
- Strong understanding of weld quality standards
- Reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
- Must have reliable transportation
- Pass drug and background screening
