About The Position

Operates a rider-type industrial forklift to pick up, move, place, and position all kinds of materials. May manually load, unload, re-stack materials, and assist in other production-related tasks as needed. Performs routine servicing of equipment such as fueling, changing batteries, hooking up the battery charger, and checking fluid levels and tires.   • Minimum requirement: general educational background without high school completion, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Displays safe driving habits at all times.
  • Operates a rider-type industrial forklift to pick up, move, place, and position all kinds of materials.
  • May manually load, unload, or re-stack materials.
  • Performs routine servicing of equipment such as fueling, changing batteries, hooking up the battery charger, and checking fluid levels and tires.
  • Advises the supervisor of the need for repairs to the forklift.
  • Reviews materials and supplies inventory movement list to determine priorities and sequence of pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Loads trucks/trailers with proper weight balances and accurately accounts for the weight and quantity described on load logs.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
