About The Position

Purpose of Position/Summary: The Production Control Forklift Driver position assists in the daily warehouse and Production Control areas, including shipping and receiving customer and supplier product, loading and unloading trucks, inspecting and/or reconciling material, ensuring accuracy of supporting documentation. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Compliance of all applicable safety regulations and other company-related policies and procedures; Report defective material or questionable conditions to the department Supervisor; Perform regular 5s activities to keep the warehouse areas clean, free of obstruction and debris, and organized at all times; Ensures the use of FIFO when handling product; Other duties assigned by immediate Supervisor or Manager on an as needed basis. Shipping: Ensure customer orders are staged according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures; Labels and packs customer shipments; Performs shipment quality inspections; Receiving: Reconcile BOL’s to supplier product; Perform receiving quality inspections;

Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma or GED from an accredited organization.
This position must have the ability to take and pass a written Forklift exam and Forklift Driving test.
This position requires an annual certification test to be taken and passed.
This position must have the knowledge of how to operate equipment used in the shipping and receiving process, including forklifts and other material handling equipment.
This position must have the knowledge and ability to use computer hardware and software to generate shipping/receiving documents and process shipments.
This position requires skills in basic computer operations including Microsoft Office.
Additionally, this position requires strong mathematical skills.
For receiving – this position must know how to operate the bar/tube stock crane.
