About The Position

Forklift Operator I is responsible for the movement of material from inventory to production and back to inventory. This role maintains correct paperwork and production records as required, and provides production departments with material from inventory according to the production schedule. The position also involves moving material in process from one station to another, banding, wrapping, and/or packing finished goods, and labeling material. Additionally, the operator moves finished goods from the production area to the finished goods inventory yard or warehouse, assists production with bottlenecks and other material needs, and provides general preventive maintenance on equipment. The role requires completing a pre-shift startup equipment checklist and reporting any problems or concerns, maintaining the rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean, and completing production records as required. The operator must follow forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy and participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings. Other duties may be performed as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 9th grade basic education
  • Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Forklift driving experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred

Responsibilities

  • Hourly 20.00-22.00 dependent on experience pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living
