About The Position

Industries (“Galleher”) is a manufacturer and value-added distributor of metal and lumber components to commercial truck body and trailer manufacturers. Founded in 1937 and headquartered in Pomona, CA with a second (and growing) location in Kaufman, TX.

Summary
Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the fabrication and movement of steel, lumber, and other material as needed. This position will be responsible for all warehouse duties including loading/unloading trailers, driving forklifts, transporting material to designated areas. Must also be willing to learn /operate various wood fabrication techniques. Must have experience in loading large, oversized bulky freight. This is not a pick/pack warehouse environment. Working Indoor/Outdoor is required.

Requirements

• High School Education or GED
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a background check and pass pre-employment drug testing and maintain drug free employment.
• Must be able to safely operate a forklift of large/oversized freight
• Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds.
• Knowledge of operating other warehouse materials and machinery
• Must possess a valid ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Must have Reliable Transportation
• Must have previous 3-5 years of Forklift experience.
• Must have experience in loading /unloading oversized freight.

Responsibilities

• Forklift Operator
• Loading and unloading materials from a variety of vehicles.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations, ie: Lumber and Steel
• Comply with company policies, safety rules and regulations.
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Completing physical tasks quickly and accurately
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
