About The Position

Job Title: Forklift/Backup Shuttle Driver Department : Shipping/Receiving Reports To: Department Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly 1st Shift Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Overtime required based on production need. $16.50/hour Drives yard dog to position trailers and drives propane powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties: Other duties may be assigned. Operates and maintains yard dog. Inspects and maintains dry box and refrigerant trailers. Moves trailers in and out of docks. Operates forklift to load and unload trailers. Places finished goods in appropriate rack locations (warehouse/cooler/freezer). Maintains dock areas. Fuels yard dog and refrigerant units. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must be able to speak, read and write in English
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer
Lift 50 pounds 50-100 times during the shift
Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
Repetitively climb up onto and descend from shuttle vehicle
Talk and hear
Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities
