About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Driver/Scanner to join our cold storage warehouse team. This role requires expertise in operating stand-up forklifts to safely and efficiently pick, scan, and load beef products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with stand-up forklift operations, possess strong attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a cold storage environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience operating stand-up forklifts in a warehouse environment is required.
Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic math and communication skills.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handheld scanners and inventory management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate stand-up forklifts to pick, move, and load beef products accurately and efficiently.
Use handheld scanners to track and manage inventory, ensuring all items are properly recorded in the system.
Prepare and stage products for shipment based on customer orders and loading schedules.
Conduct daily forklift inspections to ensure proper functioning and promptly report any maintenance issues.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper stacking, securing of loads, and safe forklift operation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold storage area.
Perform quality checks to ensure product integrity and compliance with company standards.
Assist in cycle counts and other inventory management tasks as needed.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity and accuracy goals.
Follow all cold storage protocols, including wearing appropriate attire and handling frozen and chilled products safely.
