About The Position
Receives and inspects steel coils for quality, while ensuring all information is stored on the Daily Steel Receiving Report. Adheres to safety, quality, and environmental policy.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required, with technical schooling preferred.
- At least 1 year job-related experience.
- Can demonstrate work experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift and Crane Certified.
Responsibilities
- Receive steel into the system and record the material specification details into the Daily Steel Receiving Report
- Unload coils from the trucks and place them in the coil field
- Inspect the steel according to the Daily Steel Receiving Report and record pertinent information
- Perform visual inspections of incoming coils
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight timeline
- Compliance to all work instructions and safe work procedures for the job
- Any other duties as deemed necessary or appropriate
