About The Position
Operates various sizes and types of forklift trucks to shift, stack, and transport loads within assigned department of plant wide areas. Must have knowledge of departmental locations within the plant and may use radio for receipt and relaying of truck move assignments. Must have driver’s license.
Requirements
- Must be capable of operating various size and types of forklifts usually acquired through 1-3 years of forklift driving experience.
- Must have driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Checks vehicle for damage, faulty brakes, and proper functioning. Aid battery attendant in changing battery in truck following established practices.
- Operates various types of forklift trucks to shift, stack, and load other trucks. Transports loads as directed.
- Exercises care in operating vehicle, observing and following prescribed regulations.
