About The Position

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The basic function is to stage and maintain adequate supply of components, materials and totes for production and shelve finished products. Additionally, some preparation of product for shipping

Requirements

6 months production technician at Adkev or relevant experience

Nice To Haves

2 years' forklift experience moving materials in manufacturing with bar code system

Responsibilities

Using forklifts and pallet jacks retrieve components/materials/totes from warehouse and stage at Motan as needed to keep production running w/o production interruption and meet customer shipments.
Prioritize multiple tasks effectively with production needs as priority
Load and unload trucks
Scan product in/out of inventory using bar code scanner providing info to Materials Dept. necessary to keep sufficient stock on hand.
Transfer finished product to proper warehouse locations
Perform shipping and receiving tasks and paperwork following proper procedures
Maintain material handling equipment to insure safe and productive workplace (i.e. Forklifts, pallet jacks)
Be able to work overtime or adjusted schedule (any shift) as required with little or no notice
Meet safety training requirements: follow established safety practices and policies
Prioritize multiple tasks effectively with production needs as priority
Adhere to Adkev's No-Fault Attendance Policy.
Maintain proficiency and certification on all items contained within this and proceeding task and duty descriptions.
Maintain 5S standards particularly around compactor and shipping docks
Follow ISO 14001 regarding recycling materials
Other duties as assigned.
