About The Position

Beasley Group is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Entry-Level Forklift Driver to support daily sawmill operations. We provide mandatory on-site training and certification for all new hires. This is an excellent opportunity to start a long-term career in the wood products industry. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts safely to transport lumber, logs, and finished products throughout the mill and yard. Support production lines by delivering materials and moving completed bundles. Conduct basic pre-shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues. Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow yard layout and stacking procedures. Follow radio/hand signal communication and work safely around heavy machinery and pedestrians. Participate in safety meetings, hazard reporting, and required training sessions. Perform general mill and yard duties as assigned. Safety Expectations Strict adherence to OSHA and company safety policies. Proper use of required PPE (hard hat, high‑visibility vest, steel‑toe boots, etc.). Maintain stable loads, proper fork spacing, and safe speeds at all times. Follow all traffic routes, restricted zones, and lockout boundaries. Beasley Group is a Drug Free Workplace.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to complete and pass Beasley Group’s on-site forklift training and certification.
  • Willingness to work in an industrial/outdoor environment with exposure to weather, noise, and wood dust.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to follow safety rules and instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a sawmill, warehouse, manufacturing, or construction environment.
  • Familiarity with forklifts, long forks, or yard operations.
  • Basic understanding of lumber products or inventory processes.
