About The Position

Successfully transfer product items to stocking production from the receiving line in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Good communication skills and able to follow direction accurately.
• Knowledge of all forklift operation responsibilities.
• Ability to work flexible schedule with occasional overtime and weekend hours.
• Ability to work with all disciplines; interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfortability with heights.
• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Understanding of Personal Protective Equipment.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a high traffic atmosphere.
• 1 to 2 years of experience on a stand up Forklift.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is desired.
• Forklift Certification desired.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for learning and practicing safe and proper equipment operations including Fork lifts, pallet jacks and racking systems.
• Follow company policies and follow safety guidelines.
• Advise Supervisor of needs, product shortages, problems or concerns.
• Responsible to assist in all loading/unloading of palletized products and containers.
• Maintain correct product inventories through use of the warehouse location maintenance system and log book.
• Assist with monthly physical inventory process/cycle counts and supplying stock to production and shipping areas as need in FIFO (First In First Out) order.
• Communicate accidents and/or injuries immediately. Execute all actions in conjunction with company safety guidelines.
• Complete forklift daily checklist and communicate any maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Successfully complete McGlynn Forklift training program and 90-day/720-hour evaluation.
• Report any food safety concerns to Supervisor for resolution, including a food package that is open to the food for any reason.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
