About The Position

The Forging Operator operates assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring that produced items meet quality control requirements, performing moderately advanced troubleshooting and adjustments on equipment, and interpreting blueprints when applicable. The operator will use moderately advanced measuring instruments and is responsible for completing all necessary documents accurately. Adherence to 5S standards, maintaining a clean work area, and following all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures are essential. The position requires performing work under minimal supervision, handling moderately complex issues, and referring more complex problems to higher-level staff. A solid working knowledge of the subject matter is expected.

Responsibilities

• Run assigned mechanical equipment.
• Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements.
• Perform moderately advanced troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments.
• Read and interpret blue prints if applicable.
• Use moderately advanced measuring instruments.
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
