AMS is looking to add a Forestry Specialist to our team! Requirements

• 1 year of UVM experience & Solid, local tree identification skills preferred.
• Ability to read maps.
• Willingness to work alone outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, smartphones).
• Experience with construction projects and/or utility vegetation management operations preferred
• Project management training or experience preferred
• Must be self-driven to independently manage assigned projects

Nice To Haves

• ISA or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
• GIS experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science or Associate Degree in Forestry or related field preferred
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for work planning, crew oversight, and completed work auditing of vegetation trimming and clearing for utility construction projects.
• Responsible for communication and interaction with customers/property owners.
