We are actively hiring an Inspector for our Oregon division. A Forest Technician performs inspections to identify vegetation maintenance to actively manage tree growth around power lines through pruning, removal, and other techniques to maintain safety and reliability of the electricity grid.

Requirements

Forest Technician III. Minimum of three years arboricultural-related experience or a combination of education and practical arboriculture experience. ISA Arborist and Utility Specialist certifications.
ISA Certified and ISA Utility Specialist Certified within 6 months
Valid Driver’s License
Experience w/ Integrated Data Collection Software (Field Maps, OneVM, MapIt Fast, Work Studio, etc.)
Employment contingent upon satisfactory passing of applicable drug and background checks

Responsibilities

Patrol distribution or transmission circuits and prescribe work to be performed.
Communicate with the public and other external stakeholders, including listening to and understanding customer concerns.
Navigate permit processes and address the concerns of specialists over public lands.
