During this full-time internship, you will gain real-world experience working with talented professionals on investigative accounting engagements. These engagements involve collaborating with commercial property insurers to evaluate physical damage and business income losses suffered by businesses due to catastrophes. Projects offer exposure to a wide range of industries, from small local retail stores to multinational entities.

Requirements

  • Junior or senior level student
  • Accounting major
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Proficient understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel skills that are considered to be an intermediate or advanced level
  • Open to training in other Windows-based applications
  • Demonstrate motivation and enthusiasm
  • Be a self-starter who demonstrates an interest in learning new skills and concepts

Responsibilities

  • Work with commercial property insurers in evaluating physical damage and business income losses suffered by businesses resulting from catastrophes
  • Review and analyze historical financial and industry information
  • Review and analyze revenue and expense projections
  • Perform insurance claim evaluations
  • Perform economic damage evaluations
