About The Position

Austin Bridge & Road has an outstanding opportunity for a Foreman at our large heavy civil project in the DFW Airport. The Foreman is responsible for providing supervision and coordination of workers on a medium size (8 to 10) dirt work crew. The goals of this position include scheduling work to meet timetables in a safe manner and to meet estimated costs. This person must maintain a good working relationship with inspectors, developers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing dirt crews on heavy civil construction projects
  • Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety and be diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
  • Experience in supervising crew
  • Experience using HCSS Heavy Job (tablet based)
  • OSHA 10 hr, First Aid/CPR, rigging, flagging, fall protection, trench excavation, and manlift
  • Must be highly organized with an attention to detail
  • Be an effective communicator
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadline
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures
  • Must be able to work on call as needed

  • Scheduling construction daily and weekly
  • Execute project work plans
  • Manage crews productively and effectively
  • Training of others on the crew
  • Purchasing of materials, tools, and supplies
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Perform quality work to meet requirements
