Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking a Accountant Manager to be located at our corporate headquarters in Coppell, TX . Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience, with some supervisor experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • High attention to details and accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree or CPA preferred
  • Knowledge in cost accounting or inventory in manufacturing is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operation of asphalt plants accounting for our operating company, related to:
  • Accuracy of general ledger, monthly balance sheets account reconciliations
  • Inventory account management, product standard cost evaluation
  • Department cost review to ensure the integrity of the accounting system
  • Month end and year end close process
  • Inventory and cost of goods sold evaluation
  • Plants fixed cost, admin support cost allocation
  • Financial reports and cost/profit variance analysis (including KPIs and various business metrics)
  • Periodic forecast and budgeting processes
  • Accounts receivable, including AR collections, and lien notices
  • Fixed assets activities, work in progress cost review
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Provide required training to accounting staff, manage and develop the team
  • Perform regular credit reviews on customers and work closely with sales managers
  • Support plant and field operations of variance needs
  • Assist in external and internal audit
  • Ad Hoc special projects
