About The Position

Regulatory Compliance & Governance Ensure full compliance with all FTZ, CBP, and Department of Commerce regulations, policies, and procedures. Maintain and update FTZ Operations Manuals, SOPs, and compliance documentation. Prepare and submit required FTZ reports, including annual reports, inventory reconciliation, status changes, and admissions/withdrawals. Lead internal and external audits, coordinate responses, and implement corrective actions as needed. Monitor regulatory updates and ensure operational readiness for any required changes. Operational Management Oversee daily FTZ operations including merchandise admissions, transfers, exports, and withdrawals for consumption. Manage inventory control systems to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with CBP requirements. Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, production, procurement, and finance teams to support FTZ processes. Ensure timely and accurate processing of Customs documentation (e.g., CBPF 214, 3461, 7501). Optimize FTZ workflows to improve efficiency, reduce duty exposure, and strengthen supply chain performance. System & Data Management Maintain zone inventory systems, including electronic recordkeeping and automated tracking tools. Ensure timely entry of data and accurate reporting within FTZ software (e.g.,Thomson Reuters). Conduct variance investigations, and reconciliation to CBP records. Risk Management & Training Develop and deliver FTZ-related training to internal staff to maintain strong compliance and operational awareness. Identify risks, implement controls, and ensure adherence to internal compliance standards. Serve as the subject matter expert for FTZ operations, guiding leadership on compliance impacts and opportunities. Stakeholder & External Relations Serve as the primary liaison with CBP, the FTZ Board, brokers, carriers, and external auditors. Manage relationships with third-party service providers and ensure alignment with FTZ requirements. Partner with senior leadership to evaluate opportunities for FTZ expansion, cost savings, and operational improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–7 years of experience in FTZ operations, customs compliance, or global trade management.
  • Experience managing FTZ inventory control systems and customs documentation strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or related field.
  • Prior experience working with CBP, bonded environments, or import/export operations is a plus.
