Overview of position: FEDITC is seeking a Foreign Military Sales SME Logistician in the Warren, MI area. This is an upcoming opportunity contingent on contract award with a projected start date of March 2025.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of acquisition logistics support experience, with in-depth knowledge of U.S. Army major weapon systems.
  • Strong familiarity with documentation requirements, product support elements, and the logistics processes involved in the development, procurement, and sustainment of U.S. Army weapon systems for FMS customers.
  • Expertise in U.S. Army logistics systems, acquisition processes, and FMS requirements. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage complex logistics operations.
  • Secret Clearance (or higher) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply management, business management, or a related field. Alternatively, fifteen (15) years of logistics experience in the DoD supply network may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • An understanding of Army Force Structure, common terms, and terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in logistics support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs, providing expertise in acquisition logistics and sustainment.
  • Manage and coordinate logistics requirements for the development, procurement, and sustainment of U.S. Army major weapon systems sold to FMS customers.
  • Ensure all logistics and supply chain activities comply with U.S. Army standards and documentation requirements.
  • Oversee the product support elements, including supply management, technical manuals, training, and maintenance planning.
  • Provide lifecycle logistics support, from initial planning through sustainment, to ensure systems are fully supported for FMS customers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with U.S. Army stakeholders, FMS customers, and contractors to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of the U.S. Army Force Structure, logistics terminology, and documentation requirements related to FMS programs.
