About The Position

Foreign Disclosure and Technology Transfer Specialist The Opportunity: As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. As a Foreign Disclosure and Technology Transfer Specialist, you will leverage your subject matter expertise and experience to provide broad support to the Air Force, with major emphasis on foreign technology transfer activities. You will be responsible for reviewing export license requests from U.S. industry and providing Air Force foreign disclosure officers with analysis and recommendations concerning release parameters. You will also review and edit Delegation of Disclosure Authority Letters and assess the appropriate release of briefings and information to foreign recipients. In this role, you will develop and provide recommendations for export licenses and compliance and provide recommendations of approval for foreign national visits to Air Force and Space Force bases and U.S. defense Contractor facilities using the Foreign Visits System (FVS). Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Foreign Disclosure and Technology Transfer, Security Cooperation, and the Foreign Visits System
  • Knowledge of international affairs, security assistance, and foreign military sales, including the processes, legislation, and players
  • Knowledge of the USAF’s roles and missions
  • Knowledge of the SAF/IA’s role within and relationship towards the U.S. government’s security cooperation community
  • Knowledge of the USXPORTS SPAN System
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to efficiently and effectively work with Microsoft Office software applications in day-to-day researching, writing, coordination, and revision of communications materials, including briefings or talking points
  • Ability to follow the standards outlined in USAF Handbook 33-337, The Tongue and Quill
  • Ability to communicate professionally across the civilian and military spectrum, from the Action Officer to the General Officer or Flag Officer level
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs
