About The Position

The Ford Salesman is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while selling Ford vehicles and related products. This role involves building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them through the purchasing process to ensure a positive experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in sales or automotive technology is a plus.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales or retail sales is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Ford vehicles and features is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as lifting or moving vehicle-related materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Ford vehicles and features is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales or retail sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and engage with them to assess their vehicle needs.
  • Provide information on Ford vehicles, including features, specifications, and financing options.
  • Guide customers through the sales process, from initial inquiry to final sale.
  • Conduct test drives and demonstrate vehicle features to potential buyers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Stay knowledgeable about current inventory and upcoming models to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Assist in merchandising and displaying vehicles on the sales floor.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently, including sales contracts and financing applications.
  • Maintain customer records and track sales leads using dealership software.
  • Work closely with the finance department to facilitate vehicle financing and trade-ins.
  • Collaborate with other sales team members to achieve overall dealership goals.
