Ford Customization (formerly Vehicle Personalization) is the business unit within Ford Customer Service Division responsible for creating trending accessories and specialty vehicles for Ford Motor Company installed at factory, mod centers or dealerships. In this position... The Ford Customization Dealer Invoiced Option (DIO) Strategy Analyst position is the SME on all things DIO. This role offers a great opportunity for exposure to all elements of a product lifecycle from business case development through vehicle launch and marketing. Looking for a detail-oriented leader who takes initiative to deep dive issues and drive them to resolution. This role will interact with cross-functional team including but not limited to design, finance, purchasing, planning, program management, engineering, and program team contacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with product development, product launch process, vehicle integration, etc.
  • 3+ years of Product Marketing, Program Management and/or Planning experience.
  • Availability to work hybrid (4 days in Dearborn & 1 day optional remote)

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable presenting to members of senior management
  • Prior Product Marketing, Program Management and / or Planning experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of automotive aftermarket, vehicle dealerships - particularly in sales/service of vehicle accessories / personalization.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of a vehicle (exterior and interior).
  • Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Project / Program Management Skills with a strength in managing multiple projects.
  • Automotive Field experience including dealership interaction a plus.
  • Experience with business case development including financial analytics.
  • Understanding of Ford GPDS timing and milestone requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills required for internal management interaction and cross-functional team meeting facilitation.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiastic, open minded and a team player.
  • Analytical thinking with ability to embrace process disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams including but not limited to finance, purchasing, planning, program management, engineering, manufacturing to resolve issues related to DIO items.
  • Establish, publish, and manage project metrics to ensure quality execution
  • Coordinate action plans to resolve project issues
  • Coordinate timely updating of Program Management Analyst DIO tracking files to ensure pricing files are updated on time.
  • Support all appropriate Product Development team meetings to provide status on FC projects
  • Ensure Order guides, PDLs and Ford Build and Price all match for each vehicle lines DIO items.
  • Update SDS team with forecasts for new DIO accessories 3 months prior to launch.
  • SME for DIO processes within the department.
  • Work with Ford Customization process team leads to develop new DIO processes as necessary
  • Analyze DIO accessory sales versus objectives and determine areas of opportunity for further sales.
  • Assess competitors portfolio and determine if our offerings are competitive in pricing, offering, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Master List of DIO content and ensuring the appropriate PM Analysts input is completed.
  • Run down new DIO ideas for viability, including feasibility of offering.
  • Assist with PCR input/maintenance for DIO Wheels
