About The Position

The Football Operations Specialist plays a key behind-the-scenes role in supporting the operational success of SDSU Football. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director and Football Chief of Staff, this position provides administrative, logistical, and analytical support to ensure the smooth coordination of football program operations. From managing team travel arrangements and contracts to serving as a liaison with campus partners, the role contributes directly to the efficiency and professionalism of a Division I football program. Requirements

  • Must represent the football office with a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with fellow employees and other campus staff, faculty, boosters, student-athletes, and community members.
  • Must be able to share the same message and vision of the head football coach.
  • Knowledge of Mountain West Conference and NCAA recruiting practices and regulations.
  • Division I football operations experience; preferred 2 years or more.
  • Customer service and public relations experience, including event coordination.
  • Experience working with collegiate and/or professional football teams, familiarity with Teamworks Suite software, and ability to quickly learn new office support technology systems.
  • Valid California Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire.

  • A Masters degree  is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate football team travel logistics, including airline, hotel, and ground transportation arrangements and contract processing.
  • Serve as a business operations liaison between the football program and campus departments.
  • Support administrative, financial, and operational processes to ensure compliance with university and NCAA policies.
  • Assist with event coordination and operational planning related to football activities.
  • Represent the football office with professionalism while maintaining strong working relationships across campus and the community.
